How To Order
There are 5 basic motor kits for awning window motors (and other types) and skylights with remote control, and two hard-wired units (Kit 2, Kit 7), available as Starter Kits with power supply and controls. We are specialists when it comes to electric awning window motor replacement.
You can start with just 1 kit, then add INDIVIDUAL actuators later. Please keep in mind that our kits come with a 5 channel remote, for our RF kits, but extra actuators can also be added to the switched type, depending on the strength of your power supply (we have 2, 4 and 8 amp power supplies).
If you want to operate multiple units, you could also consider purchasing our 12v battery wand (skylights and window openers will work, even if grid power fails). This makes for a very good backup system because the USB 5v charger can be left plugged in.

KIT 1
Standard RF Remote Control Window Opener
20 lb lift, adjustable stroke
Our most popular 20 lb kit, these awning window motors with RF remote control have an adjustable stroke: 4″ (100mm), 8″ (200mm), 10″ (250mm), 12″ (300mm). The stroke can be adjusted by rotating a setting knob on one end of the housing. This unit is suitable for awning windows, vents, hopper windows and small skylights.

KIT 2
Switched 12v Window Opener
hard-wired, 20 lb lift, adjustable stroke
This kit uses our wired switch for those that want hard-wired solutions with a surface mount switch. The opener unit has an adjustable stroke: 4″ (100mm), 8″ (200mm), 10″ (250mm), 12″ (300mm). The stroke can be adjusted by rotating a setting knob on one end of the housing. This unit is suitable for awning window motors, vents, hopper windows and small skylights, but keep in mind it is not a very attractive surface mount switch.

KIT 3
Z-Wave & RF Remote Window Opener
20 lb lift, adjustable stroke
This Z-Wave remote control unit has an adjustable stroke: 4″ (100mm), 8″ (200mm), 10″ (250mm), 12″ (300mm). The stroke can be adjusted by rotating a setting knob on one end of the housing. This unit is suitable for awning window motors, vents, hopper windows and small skylights.

KIT 4
Heavy Duty (HD) Skylight Opener
RF remote control, 60+ lb lift, 12″ fixed stroke, rain sensor
This unit has a fixed stroke of 12 inches, but note that it can be stopped at any point of travel by using the RF remote control (which can penetrate solid walls). The rain sensor will automatically close if it starts raining. If you prefer, these units can be custom ordered from the factory with any shortened length of chain stroke.
This unit is suitable for heavy skylights or very large awning window motors that have a lot of frame flex. Note that you can also purchase individual actuators in our shopping cart to add to the kit.
KIT 5
Heavy Duty (HD) Vertical Slider Opener
RF remote control, 40+ lb lift, CUSTOM ORDER
These RF remote control units are suitable for vertical and horizontal slider windows. We also have mirrored openers that can go on either side of a particularly stiff vertical slider window. Please note that these are custom orders only (suitable for heavy skylights or very large awning window motors that have a lot of frame flex). Please contact us for details.

60+ lb lift, RF remote control, 12″ fixed stroke, NO rain sensor
Our most popular HD remote control kit, this unit has a fixed stroke of 12 inches, but note that it can be stopped at any point of travel by using the RF remote control (which can penetrate solid walls). Switched Heavy Duty (HD) Skylight Opener
hard-wired 60+ lb lift, 12″ fixed stroke, NO rain sensor
One of our most popular HD remote control kit, this hard-wired SWITCHED unit has a fixed stroke of 12 inches, but note that it can be stopped at any point of travel by pressing the STOP button. If you prefer, these units can be custom ordered from the factory with any shortened length of chain stroke.
This unit is suitable for heavy skylights or very large awning window motors that have a lot of frame flex. It DOES NOT have a rain sensor. Note that you can also purchase individual actuators in our shopping cart to add to the kit.
Taking your RollerTrol to the next level:
Our USB rechargeable battery wand makes a great backup battery uninterruptible power supply (UPS), when grid power fails.
If you can run a 5v DC USB power line to the battery wand (5v power supply is included with wand), you will have a system that will work, even if grid power is down.
For those of you that experience power interruptions in the winter, this can be a very helpful feature. If you use a 5v solar panel, you can make it a totally independant of grid power!
As discussed, you can use our multi-channel remote controls to control your window and skylight motors.
Please keep in mind you can also use them with our Broadlink hub, which further extends control to your phone, tablet, laptop or any other web enabled device (whether at home or away). Please see our article about how we did this with Alexa.
